As Riyadh City witnesses the preparations for the activities of the Advertising and Publicity Means Exhibition, the expenditures of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia becomes exceeds 3.6 billions Saudi Riyal in the advertisement market. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has recorded the biggest ratio of growth on the expenditures of advertisement and publicity which is almost 9% - amounting to SR.3.645 billions (USD972 million) (during the first nine months of the year 2011, in comparison with the same period of the previous year as per the statistics conducted by Park Center for Strategic Studies. By monitoring the expenditures of advertisement and publicity during the year 2011 the indicators show a decrease on the value of the advertising expenditures as it reaches about 4% in comparison with the year 2010 due to the developments that are taking place in some Arab countries – such as Egypt has witnessed a deterioration on the advertisement market by 43% during the first nine months of the year 2011. The advertisement industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed standard growth due to the availability of the huge media means including the daily newspapers, road signboards and markets the matter that makes the dealers in the advertisement industry anticipate the Kingdom to lead the advertisement sector in the Region because of the economic stability of the Kingdom, liberalization of markets and the high purchasing power which poses source of attraction for the advertising agencies.
