CIS-BCCI Press Release President of CIS-BCCI (Commonwealth of Independent States-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry) Mr. Md. Habib Ullah Dawn along with newly elected his Board of Directors had a call on meeting with Mr. Tipu Munshi, MP, Hon’ble Commerce Minister on March 11, 2021 at the secretariat. CIS-BCCI President briefed the Hon’ble Minister about various activities of the CIS-BCCI Chamber for promoting the trade and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and CIS Countries in our bid to diversify the export market to a new destination. He however, pointed out that at present the main impediment is business transaction between the two countries in banking channel and emphasized that Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce and Bangladesh Bank may take appropriate steps for streamlining financial and banking cooperation between Russia and Bangladesh as proposed in the 1st and the 2nd Protocols of Inter-Governmental Commission meeting held in Moscow and Dhaka. He further pointed out that the 1st and the 2nd Protocols on Russian-Bangladesh Inter-Government Commission (IGC) on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation signed between Bangladesh and Russia are remarkable examples of our active and fruitful partnership. He further emphasized on carrying forward objectives of the two Protocols especially on mutual regulatory cooperation and harmonization of Trade Rules and setting up necessary infrastructures including warehouses and distribution network The Commerce Minister appreciated the role of CIS-BCCI and emphasized on exploring huge market of CIS countries including Russia to enhance our export basket and competitiveness. He assured of keeping CIS_BCCI involved on necessary follow up on the decisions of IGC (Inter-Governmental Commission) meetings. The President CIS-BCCI requested the hon’ble Miniter for helping the Chamber with research fund for proper exploration of CIS market. Mustafa Mohiuddin Secretary, CIS-BCCI   সিআইএস-বিসিসিআই প্রেস রিলিজ বাণিজ্যমন্ত্রীর সাথে সিআইএস-বিসিসিআইয়ের পরিচালনা পর্ষদের সভা অনুষ্ঠিত গত বৃহস্পতিবার ১১ মার্চ ২০২১ কমনওয়েলথ অব ইন্ডিপেন্ডেন্ট স্টেটস-বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার অব কমার্স অ্যান্ড ইন্ডাস্ট্রিজের (সিআইএস-বিসিসিআই) প্রেসিডেন্ট জনাব মোঃ হাবীব উল্লাহ ডনের নেতৃত্বে চেম্বারের নবনির্বাচিত পরিচালনা পর্ষদ মাননীয় বাণিজ্যমন্ত্রী জনাব টিপু মুনসীর সাথে সচিবালয়ে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ করেন। সভায় সিআইএস-বিসিসিআই চেম্বারের কার্যকলাপ তুলে ধরে চেম্বারের প্রেসিডেন্ট জনাব মোঃ হাবীব উল্লাহ ডন বলেন, বাণিজ্যমন্ত্রণালয়ের নিবন্ধনকৃত সিআইএস-বিসিসিআই চেম্বার সরকারের পাশাপাশি বেসরকারীভাবে রাশিয়াসহ সিআইএসভূক্ত দেশসমূহকে বাংলাদেশের তৃতীয় বাজার হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করতে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। রাশিয়ার সাথে বাংলাদেশের বাণিজ্য প্রসারের প্রধান অন্তরায় বিষয়ে তিনি বলেন, এখনো বাংলাদেশ-রাশিয়ার আন্তঃব্যাংকিং লেনদেন ব্যবস্থায় উন্নয়ন সাধন হয়নি। তবে সম্প্রতি রাশিয়ায় অনুষ্ঠিত ইন্টার-গভঃমেন্টাল কমিশন মিটিংয়ের পর এ বিষয়ে ইতিবাচক সাড়া পাওয়া গেছে। আশা করা যাচ্ছে খুব শীঘ্রই বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়, অর্থবিভাগ ও বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক এ বিষয়ে সমস্যা সমাধানের জন্য যৌথ উদ্যোগ নিবে। তিনি দু’দেশের মধ্যে সম্প্রতি সম্পাদিত আন্ত: সরকার কমিশনের ১ম ও ২য় প্রটোকল চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরিত হওয়ায় সরকারকে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়ে প্রটোকল সমূহের সিদ্ধান্তবলীর দ্রুত বাস্তবায়নের জন্য মাননীয় মন্ত্রীকে অনুরোধ করেন। জবাবে বাণিজ্যমন্ত্রী সিআইএস-বিসিসিআইয়ৈর ভূমিকা প্রশংসা করে রাশিয়ার সঙ্গে অনুষ্ঠিত আন্তঃসরকার কমিশন সভার সিদ্ধান্তগুলি দ্রুত বাস্তবায়নের জন্য তার মন্ত্রণালয় ও সিআইএস-বিসিসিআইয়ের মধ্যে একযোগে কাজ করার আহবান জানান। রাশিয়া এবং সিআইএস দেশসূহের বিশাল বাজার ধরতে পারলে আমাদের রপ্তানী সম্ভার ও প্রতিযোগিতা দক্ষতা বহুলাংশে বৃদ্ধি পাবে বলে মাননীয় মন্ত্রী অভিমত ব্যক্ত করেন। চেম্বারের সভাপতি এই নতুন বাজার ধরার লক্ষ্য কাজ করে যাওয়ার জন্য গবেষনার তহবিলের প্রয়োজনীতার তুলে ধরে চেম্বারকে আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদানের অনুরোধ করেন। সভায় উপস্থিত অন্যান্য সদস্যরা হলেন-মোহাম্মদ আলী দ্বীন, সিনিয়র ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট, জাদব দ্বেবনাথ, ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট, পরিচালকবৃন্দ মিসেস হেলেনা জাহাঙ্গীর, জনাব মোঃ মোশাররফ হোসেন, জনাব রাশেদুল হোসেন চৌধুরী, ডা: যশোদা জীবন দেবনাথ, সিআইপি, জনাব মোঃ এনামুল হক, মিসেস সালমা হোসেন এ্যাশ, জনাব শেখ ফয়েজ আলম, জনাব আব্দুল লতিফ সরকার, জনাব কাসফিকুর রহমান, উপদেষ্টা জনাব মাহাবুব ইসলাম রুনু, মঞ্জুর আহমেদ এবং চেম্বারের সচিব জনাব মুস্তাফা মহিউদ্দীন। মুস্তাফা মহিউদ্দীন সচিব, সিআইএস-বিসিসিআই
