You may be shocked to learn that 1 out of 4 children in rural America are living in poverty. Many of them face food insecurity, or live in food deserts where fresh fruit and vegetables don't exist. Still more don't have access to educational materials or the Internet. And while the coronavirus pandemic hasn't caused any of the issues faced by these families, it's very likely to make them worse. Save the Children works in more than 200 rural communities where resources are scarce. We're challenging you to do something about it! Join us on September 26th for our first ever Virtual Bridge Challenge. Choose a fundraising activity and help us bridge the gap for kids in rural America. Click here to register for the 2020 Save the Children Virtual Bridge Challenge and be a part of this movement to improve the lives of children in rural America. Together, we'll make sure that kids in rural America can grow up healthy, educated and safe. Allison Lardner Director, National Events & Community Engagement Save the Children |
