The World's Women 2010/Silent No More: /Reporting HIV/AIDS
Reporting HIV/AIDS
'Reporting HIV/AIDS' is part of the Masters in journalism and communication degree coursework of the Faculty of Journalism and Communications, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. Prepared in cooperation with Internews, the course content includes an examination of media approaches and responsibilities in reporting HIV and the portrayal of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and marginalised risk groups. It explores issues of cultural and social opposition, as well as stigmatising language, and offers appropriate sources and resources, all in the Ethiopian context. It is designed to be flexibly formatted for delivery, either in the classroom or as a distance/online module. Two document sources are available: a curriculum guide of 48 pages in PDF format and a zipped file for download containing folders of PDF format print stories, radio stories, a course reader, further course readings, and the curriculum document.

Silent No More: The Untapped Potential of the Worldwide Church In Addressing Sexual Violence
This report, calls all churches to account and to action. It paints a painfully honest picture of the way churches have perpetuated a culture of silence around sexual violence and have largely failed to respond to the crisis and may even worsen the impact by reinforcing stigma and discrimination experienced by survivors.
