CIS-BCCI Press Release Exploring third export market in Russia CIS-BCCI President meets new Russian Ambassador in Dhaka President of CIS-BCCI (Commonwealth of Independent States-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry) Mr. Md. Habib Ullah Dawn along with his Board of Directors had a courtesy call on meeting with the Russian Ambassador in Dhaka H.E Mr. Alexander Vikentyevich Mantytskiy today (September 13, 2021) at the embassy office. CIS-BCCI President highlighted on the activities of the CIS-BCCI Chamber in the private sector forum for promoting the trade and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and CIS Countries with special focus on Russia. He emphasized on the potentiality of Russian market for Bangladesh in our bid to diversity the export market, as our export basket is small and concentrated on USA, EU market, only. In order to augment our export on RMG (Readymade Garments), Garments Accessories, Pharmaceuticals, Leather goods, seafood and other products Russian market should be tapped fully, he pointed out. The President expressed his hope that with the establishing of Inter Government Commission (IGC) our mutual trade and economic cooperation will be more broad-based and deepened. He further underscored on improving connectivity with Russia through shipping cargo, warehouse facilities in Russia and adequate banking facilities for smooth transaction in business. In response H.E Mr. Alexander Vikentyevich Mantytskiy Russian Ambassador in Dhaka also reciprocated the idea saying that both Russian & Bangladesh are engaged in deep friendship right after liberation of Bangladesh and widening the scope for furthering bilateral trade and commerce. He appreciated the role of CIS Chamber in fostering close business ties with Russia and underscored on expediting the operation of roadmap to implement the decisions of 2nd protocol of IGC and for improving business to business cooperation between the two countries. In this connection he called for a list of members of the chamber and also from business community as a whole who are dealing with export/import business in Russia so as to extend full cooperation to them from the Russian embassy and CIS-BCCI chamber. He also stressed on the need of CIS-BCCI’s participation in different Trade Fairs in Moscow and showcase products made in Bangladesh. Mustafa Mohiuddin Secretary, CIS-BCCI  সিআইএস-বিসিসিআই প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তি রাশিয়ায় নতুন রপ্তানী বাজার উন্মোচন ঢাকায় নবনিযুক্ত রুশ রাষ্ট্রদূতের সাথে সিআইএস-বিসিসিআই সভাপতির বৈঠক কমনওয়েলথ অব ইন্ডিপেন্ডেন্ট স্টেটস-বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার অব কমার্স অ্যান্ড ইন্ডাস্ট্রিজের (সিআইএস-বিসিসিআই) সভাপতি জনাব মোঃ হাবিব উল্লাহ ডন ও পরিচালনা পর্ষদের সদস্যবৃন্দ আজ ১৩ই সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২১ বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত রাশিয়া ফেডারেশনের রাষ্ট্রদূত আলেকজান্ডার ভিকেন্তেভিচ ম্যানতিতস্কি সাথে এক সৌজন্য সাক্ষাতকার সভায় মিলিত হন। সিআইএস-বিসিসিআইয়ের সভাপতি তার চেম্বারের পরিচালকবৃন্দকে পরিচয় করিয়ে দেন এবং চেম্বারের কার্যক্রম তুলে ধরেন। তিনি রাশিয়া-বাংলাদেশের সৌহার্দপূর্ণ ও গভীর সম্পর্কের কথা উল্লেখ করে জানান যে, দু’দেশের মধ্যে ব্যবসায় বাণিজ্য ও সহায়তার ক্ষেত্র ক্রমশঃ প্রসারমান। জনাব হাবিব উল্লাহ ডন বলেন, আমাদের অনুসৃত রপ্তানী নীতির বাজার বহুমুখীকরণে প্রচেষ্টা হিসেবে রাশিয়াকে একটি সম্ভাবনাময় বাজার হিসেবে চিহ্নিতকরন এবং সরকারের উদ্যোগের পাশাপাশি পারস্পরিক দ্বি-পাক্ষিক বাণিজ্য বৃদ্ধির জন্য সিআইএস-বিসিসিআই চেম্বার নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। তিনি উল্লেখ করেন যে, আমাদের পোশাকখাত সহ চামড়া ও পাটজাত দ্রব্য, হিমায়িত মাছ, ঔষধ শিল্প প্রভৃতির এব সম্ভাবনাময় বাজার রাশিয়া। এ সম্ভাবনাকে কাজে লাগানোর জন্য সিআইএস চেম্বার রাশিয়া-বাংলাদেশের মধ্যে আন্ত-ব্যাংকিং সুবিধাসহ মালামাল পরিবহণে যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার উন্নতি এবং রাশিয়ার ওয়্যারহাউস সুবিধাদির জন্য দুই দেশের সরকার যাতে প্রচেষ্টা অব্যহত রাখে সে লক্ষ্যে কাজ করে যাবে। রুশ রাষ্ট্রদূত সিআইএস চেম্বারের কার্যক্রমের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করে জানান যে, চলতি বছরের শেষ দিকে আন্তঃসরকার কমিশনের পরবর্তী আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হওয়ার কথা রয়েছে। তিনি, কমিশনের সিদ্ধান্তবলী বাস্তবায়নের লক্ষ্যে প্রণীত রোডম্যাপ কার্যকর করার প্রক্রিয়া ত্বরানিত করার উপর গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেন এবং ‘বিজনেস টু বিজনেস’সহযোগিতা উন্নয়নের আহবান জানান। তিনি সিআইএস চেম্বারের যেসব সদস্য ব্যবসায়ীবৃন্দ রাশিয়ার সঙ্গে আমদানী-রপ্তানী বাণিজ্যে নিয়োজিত আছেন তাদের তালিকা দূতাবাসে প্রেরণ করতে অনুরোধ করেন যাতে দূতাবাসের পক্ষ থেকে সর্বাত্মক সহযোগিতা প্রদান করা যায়। এছাড়া তিনি রাশিয়ায় বিভিন্ন পণ্য মেলায় বাংলাদেশের অংশগ্রহনের উপর জোর দেন। সভায় সিআইএস-বিসিসিআইয়ের সিনিয়র সহ-সভাপতি জনাব মোহাম্মদ আলী দ্বীন, উপদেষ্টা জনাব মনজুর আহমেদ ও জনাব মাহাবুব ইসলাম রুনু, পরিচালক মিসেস তৌহিদা সুলতানা, ডা: যশোদা জীবন দেবনাথ, সিআইপি, মিসেস সালমা হোসেন এ্যাশ, জনাব আব্দুল লতিফ সরকার, সচিব জনাব মুস্তাফা মহিউদ্দীন উপস্থিত ছিলেন। মুস্তাফা মহিউদ্দীন সচিব, সিআইএস-বিসিসিআই
